This picture shows the type of
connectors used on the cables that go between the modules.
These connectors are similar to an RJ-11 phone connector, but these
are the RJ-45 8-pin connectors... a connector that is much larger and
more robust than phone connectors (these large connectors are commonly used in
computer network
applications).
A significant feature of our cables is that we use a
special RJ45 connector that has a snag resistant
clip --notice in the photograph that the
clip curls down toward the body of the connector, thus reducing the chance that the clip
could snag and break.
Therefore, these connectors last MUCH LONGER
than typical RJ45 connectors.
